Development of the Android 11 update for the Samsung Galaxy A30 has been underway for nearly a year, but new evidence emerged today reveals that Samsung is already testing the One UI 3.1 firmware update for this smartphone.
WFA approves Android 11 for Samsung Galaxy A30
Samsung Galaxy A30 (SM-A305F / DS) was recently spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance database with a new entry dated May 4th, which confirms that this Samsung smartphone is running Android 11.
Samsung’s original plan for the Galaxy A30 was to update the device with the One UI 3.0 custom interface in July 2021, at least in Egypt, but the next update will most likely be based on One UI 3.1 and could arrive before July, as some Galaxy range devices listed in the original roadmap have been updated in advance.
The South Korean giant recently downgraded the Samsung Galaxy A30 from quarterly to semi-annual security updates, although the device received the April 2021 security patch a couple of weeks ago.
In the meantime, new rumors continue to circulate about Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Active 4 , two families of smartwatches that are extremely important for the South Korean manufacturer and highly appreciated by users.
