PS5 and PS4, new State of Play? From Sunset Overdrive to GTA 5, check the rumor!

The month of April ended with a new episode of the PlayStation State of Play format entirely dedicated to the presentation of the next gen gameplay of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

A further appointment with the Sony show, however, may not be too far away, according to a rumor that is spreading on the net. The latter, we anticipate it immediately, originated on the pages of the 4chan forum and it is therefore very complex to evaluate its reliability . In the recent past, the portal has revealed itself to be the bearer of both false information, such as the recent fake video of Elden Ring, and correct advances, as in the case of part of the characteristics of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield .

Having said that, we report below the alleged lineup of the next PlayStation State of Play:

    • Dreams + (Media Molecule, PS5, July 29);

    • Project Cars 3 (Slightly Mad Studios, PS5, Fall 2021);

    • Back 4 Blood (Turtle Rock / WB Games, PS4 and PS5, October 12);

    • Symphogear Unite (Media.Vision/Koei Tecmo, PS4 and PS5, 2022);

    • Stray (BlueTwelve Studio / Annapurna Interactive, PS4 and PS5, October);

    • Sonic Colors Ultimate (Sonic Team / Sega, PS4 & PS5, September 14);

    • The Mitchells vs The Machines: Overcharged (Wayfoward, PS4 & PS5, November 25);

    • Grand Theft Auto 5 (Rockstar / Take Two Interactive, PS5, October);

    • Sunset Overdrive Refreshed Edition (Insomniac Games / Xbox Game Studios, PS4 & PS5, Fall 2021);

    • Sunset Apocalypse (Insomniac Games, PS5, to be defined);

Among the unreleased titles, the reference to Insomniac Games titles certainly stands out , especially following Sony’s registration of the Sunset Overdrive brand. To find out if there is something true in this list, however, it will be necessary to wait for the next PlayStation State of Play , which could realistically take place in the period immediately before or after E3 2021 .
